Anti Human Trafficking Conference – A Victim’s Journey

Boscombe SA Centre, Palmerston Road, Bournemouth  BH1 4HT

10.00am – 4.00pm

Human trafficking exists within the UK but often goes unnoticed.

The Purple Teardrop Campaign and Bournemouth Churches Housing Association are hosting a conference on Human Trafficking in response to the growing need to raise awareness of the problem to front-line professionals, and ensure they are able to recognise and respond to the signs.

The conference will provide knowledge about the journey someone will experience once they have been identified as a victim of human trafficking and the support that is available to these victims. Frontline professionals will come away with the knowledge of how to recognise the signs, how and to whom to refer potential victims and the support available to them.

Major Anne Read, the Salvation Army’s Anti Trafficking Response Co-ordinator, will be facilitating the day while speakers will include a range of professionals from organisations including Barnados, Unseen UK, Unchosen and the Medaille Trust. The Police Crime Commissioner for Dorset, Martyn Underhill, will also be attending as a guest speaker.

We need your help to stop human trafficking within the UK. Attend our Anti Human Trafficking conference on 10th December – Human Rights Day.
