Barbados Soroptimists launch Purple Teardrop Campaign

Andrea Simon, Councillor Fidelis St Hill and Secretary of SI Barbados, and Nalita Gadjadhar, expert on human trafficking issues, spoke on ‘Mornin Barbados’ about the Purple Teardrop Campaign and how human trafficking has affected Barbados. Vice President Pansy Griffith talked on local radio. Barbadian Soroptimists distributed flyers and talked to the public about the Purple Teardrop Campaign on Friday March 8 (International Women’s Day) and Saturday March 9 at many shopping centres and encouraged the public to wear something purple to mark the launch of this important campaign.
